Eligibility Criteria For BITSAT 2020 – Qualification & Course wise Eligibility for B.Tech & B.Pharma

Applicants who wish to fill out the application form must qualify for BITSAT, as per the eligibility criteria laid down by the BITS. If any applicant fails to meet any of the 2020 BITSAT eligibility requirements, they will not be admitted to BITS universities. The examination brochure will be accessible on the official site. Status Of PassingApplicants who will be appearing in their 10+ two or similar examination in 2020 or have passed their qualifying test in 2019 will qualify for BITSAT 2020. When, in their 10+ two or the same exam, an applicant has undergone more fabulous beyond single attempt, then only his/her recent results will be evaluated, given that this attempt has been recommended for the maximum portion of subjects/courses. Applicants who failed 10 + 2 or similar exams in 2018 or sooner will NOT qualify for BITSAT 2020.

Those applicants who are already studying at a BITS university will not be eligible for BITSAT.

BITSAT eligibility differs according to each program and is shown in the given table.

  • Lowest required Marks: An applicant applying for BITSAT 2020 must have a required total of 75 percent score in class 12 in the subjects of physics, chemistry, and mathematics (if using for B.E.) or a minimum of 75 percent score in grade 12 with disciplines of physics, chemistry, and biology (if using for B.Pharm). In conjunction, in all topics such as Physics, Chemistry, and Maths / Biology, an applicant must score at least 60 percent marks
  • Eligibility Portion: Applicants that appeared for the 12th exam in 2020 or those who qualified for the 12th exam in 2019 are qualified for the BITSAT 2020 exam. If an applicant has made more significant than a single attempt in the 12th class or it’s similar, only the newest result will be taken into consideration. But as long as the effort has also been administered for the completed portion of subjects/courses. Applicants that are studying for BITSAT should make reference to the BITSAT 2020 curriculum and study for the test.
  • Inadmissible Applicant: An applicant is not qualified to participate in BITSAT 2020 if he/she has completed the 12th exam in 2018 or sooner.
  • Procedure for admission: admission will be conducted on merit only. The applicant’s merit ranking will be centered on the applicant’s performance in BITSAT 2020.

  • BITS provides direct access to those applicants that have scored as top-rankers on their respective boards(state/central)
  • First-ranking candidates, regardless of their BITSAT 2020 performance, will be offered direct admission to the program of their preference from all the central and state boards in India for 2020.

I have passed out class 12th in the year 2017, am I eligible?

If any candidate has passed the 12th examination in 2018 or sooner are not eligible to appear in BITSAT.

I am currently studying in BITS. Can I also apply?

If you are currently studying in BITS at any of the campuses, you are not eligible to appear in BITSAT again.

M.Sc. programs after the 12th for BITSAT-2020?

The M.Sc. programs are a 4-year integrated program after 12th. There is no intermediate B.Sc. degree awarded for BITSAT 2020.

Am I Eligible to Apply for BITSAT 2020 if I have taken Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in 10+2?

Candidates can write BITSAT 2020 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in 10+2. However, they will be eligible to apply only for the B. Pharm program. They will not qualify for any other first-degree program of an institute for BITSAT 2020.

I have passed my 12th. Now I am doing my higher studies in another college. Can I apply for BITSAT-2020?

No, you will not be eligible to appear in BITSAT 2017.

I passed 12th in 2019. I wasn’t able to get 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. Will I be eligible if I repeat some of the subjects to get the required 75% marks?

  • If you repeat the 12th exam, you must do it for all the subjects as required by the board to pass the 12th again.
  • If improvement exams are taken by you in PCM/PCB only, you will not be eligible.

How am I Eligible for admission to M.Sc. programs after 12th?

I passed Class 12th exam but failed to secure the required aggregate of 75% in PCM. If I reappear in a few subjects to get the percentage needed, am I eligible to sit for the BITSAT exam?

  • The candidate appearing in BITSAT must have studied and cleared Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in Class 12 and scored a minimum total aggregate of 75% in these subjects.
  • Also, the candidates must have added secured a minimum of 60% in each subject to be eligible for BITSAT.
  • As soon as you reappear and secure the required percentage of marks, you are considered eligible for the BITSAT.
